Fourth of July

I have to make this quick since I still have a lot to do at work and there's less than 2 hours left until I peace out of this place - for the next week! I'm excited about being on vacation next week. Nothing special. We are getting some things done around the house, yard work, staining the deck, etc., I have my interview, and we need to get some wedding related things taken care of. Nonetheless, I'm happy to be away from this place for a week.

Anyway, 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. Not just because I like the parties and the fireworks (which I do), but I also love it because of the deep sense of pride I have for this great country. I get chills and goosebumps whenever I hear the national anthem or hear service men and women speak. I feel truly blessed to live in the greatest country in the world.

As most of you know, my dad and brother are both police officers. I can't put into words how proud I am that they have chosen to serve their communities and country in this way. Likewise, I am so very thankful for the men and women in the military who have chosen to serve our great nation. Their sacrifices bring tears to my eyes.

Have a wonderful and safe holiday. Happy Fourth of July!
