Bank of America... Suck It

Dear Bank of America,

What the HELL?

I recently received a letter from you stating my credit card with you will now be assessed an annual fee of $59 which will be billed to my February statement each year. For? Oh, for my serious delinquency and recent pattern of payments? Oh, ok.

Wait a minute... come again?

I have had this credit card in my posession for quite some time. Since I was legally able to have a credit card. As a matter of fact, it was my first one. Never have I made a late payment. Not even when I was 18, poor, in college, and had a continuous balance. Nope, never. So I am not quite sure what YOUR definition is of "seriously delinquency" is, but I'm pretty sure this doesn't fit my situation.

My pattern of payments? Sorry, I'm confused on this one, too. This credit card of mine has a $0 balance. You see, I only use this card in emergency situations. While I have had a few, there hasn't been anything recent, so my balance has been $0 for a while now.

Furthermore, I am quite disappointed with your customer service. One, I can hardly understand the few people that I spoke with. Second, even when these individuals admitted my account doesn't qualify as being "seriously delinquent," nor has there been a problem with my "recent pattern of payments," my $59 annual fee still stands.

Bank of America, clearly, you FAIL.

However, thanks for being sure to mention that you appreciate my business and look forward to meeting my credit card needs. But sorry, this relationship isn't working for me anymore. What's that? If I accept this change and allow you to charge my credit card for absolutely no reason, then I will continue to enjoy valuable benefits? Wow, what an offer. But please understand when I tell you, F off!

Best Regards,
No longer your valuable customer

  1. Hi Christy! I've only been following your blog for maybe a week (I don't remember how I found it). I saw this article and thought of you. This might explain it.
