Seriously, it's ridiculous. If I want to lose this last 6-7 lbs before the wedding, I'm going to need to step it up. Lately, all I want is pizza and or pasta. And skittles - I'm addicted to these, thanks to my coworker...
It's amazing that I haven't gained any weight with the carb and sugar overload lately. Why can't I crave salads like I used to? And why is it that the already made salads (that are way overpriced) that I buy taste so much better than the salads I put together myself??
Starting tomorrow (let's be honest, I already failed for today - I had some of the above skittles, a piece of dark chocolate and a piece of pizza for lunch), the eating like crap stops.
Has anyone tried riced cauliflower? I keep hearing this come up - if you know about it, fill me in, please! Cauliflower is one of my favorites.
And how do I curb sugar cravings? Any other suggestions??

I'm a carb and sugar addict as well. Going cold turkey has worked best for me. The longer I go without sugar the less I crave it.
ReplyDeleteGood luck girly! Those last 7 pounds will fall off!
I too have an addiction and I'm kind of on a binge right now with fruit chewy candies. It started with an inncoent roll of Mentos, you because I had a problem and need to figure it out in an odd European way...Now I'm poping asain fruit chews like no body's business. Maybe cold trukey is the way to go.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with those 7 pounds.
My first suggestion would be to not even have the sugary snacks on hand. Out of sight out of mind right? My next suggestion would be to keep snacks handy that are high in fiber or protein that will fill you up faster and longer than the sugary snacks - I usually keep high fiber tortillas/crackers on hand with some peach salsa, or almonds, or grapes, jolly time popcorn, laughing cow cheese - I try to keep my snacks to a point or 2 in regards to weight watchers and I try to have it at the time of day that is most tempting for higher calorie snacks (3pm at work everyday is a time that I prepare a social for my residents and sometimes the treats are downright sinful). Carbs are a little bit trickier - have you ever gone to Hungry Girl to look up substitutions? Off the cuff I know that for mashed potatoes she only uses a small amount of potatoes and the rest is mashed cauliflower- and you'll never know the difference- I've made it once and it was yum! Hope this helps! Good Luck!
