Honeymooning With My Husband

M and I honeymooned in Riviera Maya. Our resort was absolutely gorgeous. We spent much time pool side with drinks in our hand relaxing. We also jet skied and went swimming with the dolphins - our favorite part of our vacation.

My brother and sister in law went with us. A little odd? Perhaps. Originally we were going to get married at our resort and my sister in law and brother were our matron of honor and best man. By the time we decided to have our wedding at home, with family, our trip was already booked. The four of us had a blast and would definitely go back to our resort for a future vacation.

We stayed at Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa. I recommend it to anyone looking to vacation in Riviera Maya/Tulum area. The only bad part was our ride from the airport to our resort. It was a solid 1.5 hour drive AND the air conditioning in the van wasn't working. But they greeted us at the hotel with wet wash clothes and glasses of champagne. Nice!

I also got my nose pierced when we left the resort for a quick shopping trip in Playa del Carmen.

I have wanted my nose pierced for a while now but M was so against it. He didn't like the idea at all. Finally I talked him into it - I told him I would wear it for a week and after that I would take it out if he hated it. Wouldn't you know, his first comment after seeing it was, "I really like it!"

I don't have a picture of the actual piercing. M couldn't stand to watch it. I assumed they would pierce my nose like they pierced my ears - with a piercing gun. Not so much. They used a needle and shoved it through the inside of my nose. I was totally not prepared for that and it hurt like bitch! I'm glad I didn't know that before hand, because I just might have chickened out.
