Things have been busy. Actually, that's an understatement. After finding out I was expecting, we hit the ground running... there were so many things to do before this baby arrives. There are still things we need to do, but we're getting there.
Yesterday was 30 weeks - I can't even believe that in 10 weeks or less, our baby girl will be here. Yes, a baby girl - Sophia. We cannot wait to meet her.
Disregard how crappy I look in this picture, but it is the most recent - taken yesterday before my doctor's appointment.
Let's see, since my last post we've gotten a new roof and all new exterior doors. We've had the bathroom redone. Now it just needs to be painted. We've gotten a room down in the basement ready for the cats. Their current "room" is going to be the baby's room, so we had to find somewhere else for all of their stuff and a place for them to sleep. We can't just let them roam the house at night because they make a mess of everything. Within the next week, we are having the bathroom and baby's room painted. So yeah, it's been busy (and expensive!) and all of our spare time has gone toward getting our house ready for Sophia.
There are still times when I can't believe this is all happening. As I have said before, Mark and I were leaning towards a decision to not have any kids. We were perfectly ok with this and then bam, I ended up pregnant. Sometimes I feel guilty that not too long ago, I didn't want a child. Now, I can't even imagine my life any other way. I love Sophie so much already and there's no doubt in my mind that being her Mama will be the most important thing I ever do.
This Thanksgiving, I'm feeling more blessed than ever.

funny how life seems to know more about what you need than you do!
